Hello Darlings!
Happy Friday! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you
might know I’m a bit of a texture freak. Were talking about having to take the
skin off garbanzo beans for a smoother product freak. So when I was mixing up
this Kiwi-Lime Martini I was debating whether to leave the seeds in for a super
cool looking drink or sieving them out for a smoother sip that looked like a
green highlighter came undone in my vodka bottle. Aesthetics won and I am super
pleased with the result! Simple and fresh with a bit of zing from fresh lime
juice, this martini is perfect for a warm summer night.
Ingredients: (makes two)
- 2 Kiwi Fruits
- Juice of Half a Lime
- 6 Ounces Vodka
- 1 Ounce Simple Syrup
Instructions:
1. Skin and cut up the kiwi into chunks. Place these chunks
in your cocktail shaker and muddle until a liquid-y pulp. (Make sure to reserve
a slice for garnish)
2. Add vodka, simple syrup, and lime juice into kiwi pulp.
Add ice and shake vigorously.
3. Strain through the cocktail shaker’s lid into a martini
glass filled with ice.
4. Garnish with a slice of kiwi.
5. Enjoy!
I love that this drink is super quick to make and made with
one of my favorite fruits- kiwi! I’m a weirdo and actually eat kiwis with their
skins on (I learned to do that while playing soccer in New Zealand)! What is
your favorite way to eat a kiwi? Let me know in the comments below!
