Hello Darlings!
Now, no birthday is complete without ice cream. And as a
treat to myself (and the fact that Williams and Sonoma was having a 55% off
sale!) I bought myself an ice cream maker for my birthday- and now I’m
obsessed! I love that I can make healthier versions of ice cream- with almond
milk YUM- at home and pretty much on a whim (minus the 24 hour freezing period)
so I have been playing with making my own recipes but adoring the ones in my
Vegan Ice Cream Sandwiches cookbook!
As much as I hate to admit it when I first thought vegan ice
cream I cringed a bit. I love me some full-fat ice cream full of cream, and I
thought the vegan versions wouldn’t have the same consistency. However with
awesome recipe tweaks that include adding ¼ teaspoons of guar gum and the like
you get an amazing result full of flavor and great texture!
As an added bonus the cookbook is written by a vegan baker
and blogger! I can’t get enough of the blogging community and just love supporting
