The weather has turned to autumn here in Denver, so in the fall spirit I have been pumpkin-ifying (yes, real word, I promise) my breakfast! This Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Smoothie keeps me energized until lunch- it is chock full of fun ingredients like chia seeds, oatmeal, Skoop (my favorite superfood powder), Greek yogurt, and almond milk!
I can’t get enough of pumpkin everything (pumpkin donuts-? Yes, please!) this fall so I am sure that you will be seeing more pumpkin-centric recipes in the days to come!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Pure Pumpkin Puree (not pie filling!)
2 Cups Almond Milk
1 Cup Rolled Oats
½ Cup Greek Yogurt
2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Cloves
½ Teaspoon Nutmeg
½ Teaspoon Ginger
Serving of your favorite powder (optional)
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
2. Process until smooth.
3. Enjoy!
I absolutely adore these wide stainless steel straws from Eco at Heart that you can grab on Amazon! I’ve been using stainless steel straws for quite a while, but I don’t normally like them for my morning smoothies because my usual straws are too narrow for the creamy thick texture I love. Eco at Heart straws are wide enough, super easy to clean, and help you to reduce your carbon footprint. Can’t get better than that! They are also hosting a contest to win gift cards and straws here!
