Hello Darlings!
I am very much so a warm weather person. While, yes, the snow-capped mountains are beautiful here in Colorado, and I do adore seeing little miss Tinkerbelle tunneling around in her element; give me sunshine and a bikini and I am one happy camper. However, my skin isn’t so sure about the altitude.

I’m Headed to Wanderlust Aspen-Snowmass- Join Me!
Hello Darlings!
Wanderlust is one of my favorite words in the English
language (notice my about me to the right?!). According to Webster, wanderlust means ‘strong longing for or impulse
toward wandering”
but that doesn’t do it justice. The feeling behind the word is so much more
than that; it is freedom, exploration, and happiness in its rawest form- a
single word that can describe dreams and way of life. It is an incredibly
appropriate word for a yoga festival, especially one that travels all over the
United States and Canada and focuses on not only fun, but also transformation.

Meatless Monday: Vegan Avocado Soup Plus Protein in Almond Milk
I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for #CollectiveBias and its advertiser #SilkAlmondBlends.
Hello Darlings!
I have never been a cow’s milk drinker- even when I was a child I really disliked it (sometimes I attribute the fact that I am the shortest one in my family to my lack of milk intake versus my siblings’). However when it comes to the taste and benefits of almond milk I can drink it all day every day- from cooking with almond milk to downing a glass! So when I was offered the opportunity through #CollectiveBias to check out my favorite almond milk brand, Silk, and their new Almond Coconut Blend and the Almond Milk Protein and Fiber I used in my Vegan Avocado Soup Recipe!

Yoga Poses for Cyclists
Hello Darlings!
Living in Colorado, I see at least a few cyclists every day- rain or snow (or hail- you crazy kids!) and I am always impressed. I do believe I am the only human in Denver that can’t ride a bike, a statement that normally incites a few giggles and a collective ‘gasp.’ You can put me on a bike and I can ride somewhat normally until I have to lift a hand off of the handlebars. Then it’s pavement for the most uncoordinated yogi west of the Mississippi. However, just because I tend to dive off bikes (or run into trees- another common occurrence) doesn’t mean I can help all you wonderful bike riders loosen up those post-ride sore muscles!
Yoga is wonderful for cyclists; tight shoulder girdle, tight hips, tired legs all can come from a long bike ride and some simple asana can help ease some of the discomfort!

What I Ate Wednesday: Blend Edition
Hello Darlings!
The first weekend in June I popped over to gorgeous Park City, Utah to attend the Blend Retreat! (Blend= blogger + friend) I absolutely adored getting to see some of my favorite blogging friends- some for the first time!
And while I’m planning on writing a full blown Blend recap, I thought it would be fun to share some of the food I snapped pics of this week! So, in no particular order: Food! For some reason (probably because I was entirely too excited!) I didn’t take food snaps on the first night so these start with day two!

Meatless Monday: Rainbow Chard Slaw
Hello Darlings!
I know it is extremely bad for my wallet, but I tend to wander around the health foods store and see what catches my attention. This week the organic rainbow chard practically screamed at me. Giant leaves, super bright stalks, and the fact when I was looking at them the veggie sprayers got me in the face all lead to: yes, please and a ridiculous looking grocery bag.
I love slaw in any way shape or form, and I decided the fresh rainbow chard’s bite would pair really well with the goat yogurt in my refrigerator, sweet carrots, and a bit of my favorite spice, nutmeg. And oh was I correct! I love the simple to whip up, super bright Rainbow Chard Slaw (I’ve been munching on the leftovers for days!)

Summer Nights with K.M. Hutton
Hello Darlings!
If you’ve been reading Chickadee Says for a while, you might
know that I’m not a huge ‘fashion’ blogger. I am a yoga instructor, which means
I pretty much live in yoga pants. But when the opportunity to review an amazing
handmade clutch that I practically salivated over came around I knew I just had
to share! So, a very rare glimpse into the
‘I’m-not-wearing-workout-clothes-for-once’ Kait’s summer night wardrobe!

Meatless Monday: Strawberry-Vanilla Chia Pudding with Mamma Chia (and Giveaway!)
Hello Darlings!
As a self-proclaimed night owl, anything that can save me time in the morning (read: sleep in later) is a godsend. Which is one of the many reasons I love making chia pudding the night before, popping it in the fridge and waking up to a delicious, omega-3 rich ready-to-go breakfast.
Mamma Chia recently came out with lots of additions to their chia product catalog and I could not be happier! They sent me out samples of their organic products and I’ve been on a chia-high since the goodies arrived and I can’t wait to share what I loved about them, but first: the recipe!
